The art business has introduced us to many people. We now call them friends. Sometimes it began in our art gallery on Kauai or the Big Island or Maalaea Maui. This introduction continues as a friendship to this day. An email exchanged or a phone call. Whether we talk about the cats or the weather or what is Kim Starr painting today? Yesterday it was a call from Frank and Catherine from Arizona, returning my call, and catching them at “the swinging bridge” over the Hanapepe River on Kauai. Memories immediately flood our thoughts. Catherine and Frank are checking on the “Frank and Catherine” commemorative bricks I sold to them years ago as a fund raiser for the Hanapepe town. It has now been 20+ years of friendship.
